Just finished eating Mcd (McChicken and fries) after DOF Test 2. *don't even bother asking how was it zz. Today's entry is about my 7 days 7 night (28 July 2017 - 4 August 2017) trip to Uzbekistan! Actually I went to this trip during Week 12 in UTP *the deadliest week ever because we have 4 assignments and 1 quiz*. I did'nt want to go to Uzbek at first, but then my friend, Mok persuaded me to go. She's like "Kenapa kau taknak pergi??", and made me wondered like did I really make a bad choice by not going because, hey, tengah hectic week kot? kalau aku pergi, then i'll be coming back on week 13? which is 1 more week to study week and finals?? ARE YOU CRAZY? But then, in the night, I dont know what happen that made me decided to go. So here how it goes.
We went there with Uzbekistan Airways which took us 7 hours and 30 minutes. The tour package cost us around RM4500 per person because its a promo, so we got it cheap. We went there like under Minister of Tourism, because they wanted to promote their country. P/s : Uzbek just got their Independence on 31 August 1991.
We went to 3 cities in Uzbek, which are Bukhara, Samarkand and Tashkent (capital city).
My views:
Bukhara : I got the Alladin chills when I'm there, it feels so much like Alladin. There's not a lot of trees and look a bit like the desert I guess.
Samarkand : The second biggest province/state. It is the place where some great scholars reside. Such as Muhammad bin Ismail (Imam Al-Bukhary), Mirzo-Ulughbek (grandson of the Uzbek hero, Amir Temur) and one of Rasullulah companian which is Ibn Abbas. On top of that, the istan (land) also blssed with a few great school like Madrasah Sherdor and Ulughbek Madrasah. It was an honor to have the opportunity to visit this historical places! *reminds me of how Hursand (our tour guide) pronounce it*, sincerely I hope I have a second chance to come here again :)
My brother asked Fakhruddin (our tour guide too) on why there is no cats on the streets. He replied "we eat cats, they are lovely" LOL. He was joking ofc. I managed to see one cat throughout the trip.
Tashkent : the most advanced among the 3 cities, and its nice here. Like a normal city. I went chair-lifting on Tian Shan Humalai Mountain. The weather is very nice and its a bit chilly up there, its like 24-26 C there.
Foods : They eat fruits and vegetables first, then soup, rice, and main course (like lamb, chicken, mix grilled etc), and DESSERT. (ice cream)
Do I like the food? Well, as a ulam lover, tomatoes lover, yes I did. I DID. BUT because we ate the same thing for breaksfast, lunch and dinner, should I?? ahaha no offense, the food was good. Our main course was always lamb, yes it's delicious but because I ate it everyday so... yea. you understand me right. They wanted to give us the best they can offer, (like lamb) and for that I thank Uzbekistan asia tour. For giving the best for us. They deserve a big clap!
